Lawrence Community Healthcare Center donates to 'Project Linus'
A group of Lawrence County Seniors donate their time by making blankets for the children admitted at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Lawrence Community Healthcare was very much inspired by these blanket makers who help comfort children in need and wanted to help aid their material, so they donated $100 to the organization.
Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with a two-fold mission. First, it is their mission to provide love, sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers." Second, it is their mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communties, for the benefit of children.
